WEEK 42/52: Birds

I’ve been a pretty keen birder for some time now.  It’s not something I talk about a lot, but their beauty is something I try not to take for granted.  So this is for the birds, babe.

– Bucky

Music / Lyrics: Joel Buxton, Steve Cruickshank
Production: Steve Cruickshank

LYRICS:
You fly like, it’s effortless to touch the sky
You soar like it’s high time we all admired you body’s a hollow tube
Those feathers are water proof

You dive like a knife cuts through the reasons why
You glide like the laws of God might not apply
It rains but you’re alive
You survive; you fly

You sing like you’re pleased with everything in sight
In the trees where you alight
for seasons at a time
You survive; you fly

You fly like a bird away
Fly like a bird away
Fly like a bird away

You fly like a bird away
Fly like a bird away
Fly like a bird away

About brunswickproject

Every week, Steve Cruickshank and Joel Buxton meet in Joel's shitty kitchen, unplug the fridge, slug whiskey, and create a song. For 52 weeks. Or 'til somebody dies. Check out a new track on Soundcloud every Tuesday. http://www.soundcloud.com/brunswicktunes
