WEEK 30/52: Floating

This week’s track came to me in a dream.  In it, I was part of a team of scavengers in a Water World-like future, where we would dive down to submerged cities and loot the skyscrapers for valuables.

Once we entered the sealed building, we removed our scuba gear in order to move around more easily.  An accident breached the lobby’s seal and it was a race against time to get to the roof of the skyscraper before it filled with water.  There, a life boat submarine called “The Booty” was waiting to rescue us, if only we wanted bad enough to survive.

It was an intense dream.  One day I’d like to write a screenplay about it. – Buckles

LYRICS

Floating, all along the way,

Feeling, almost dead and we
Knew it, had the map but we
Need to, find you, Australia

Sinking, I am not afraid
I’ve got all the people I
Love here with me I’m gold

Scavenge, not sure what we will
Find here maybe a new strain of
Dope here?  Who knows.

Hopefully we’ll get enough loot to retire here
Hopefully we’ll earn enough coin to get by before the lifestyle
Takes our lives

Trapped in here with you I can
Feel I feel as if the sea’s
Fallin’ up on me

Hopefully he’ll grab enough kits to leave here
Hopefully we’ll get enough kits to survive
Until the Booty saves our lives

It’s just a part of our lives,
It’s just a part of the dive,
It’s just the look in your eyes
It’s just the look in your

It’s just a part of our lives,
It’s just a part of the dive,
It’s just the look in your eyes

It’s just the look in your
